  • Undergraduate programs - 10+2 or equivalent and SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) scores
  • Postgraduate program - 4 year bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Engineering courses - GRE scores Graduate Record Examination) score
  • Past academic record in the same field is preferable although students can change their field of study if they can substantiate it through a strong SOP.
  • Students from any streams are eligible to apply for MBA or other management courses. But it’s often seen that universities ask for prior work experience and GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Tests) scores to apply for these programs.

Admission Intakes

Admissions Process for USA Universities

  • Thousands of students apply for US universities every year from every corner of the globe. US universities follow first come first basis to release admission letters (known as I20) to handle the huge amount of applications.
  • Its advisable to apply at least 8 months before the intake dates.
  • We recommend you apply 5-6 universities or even more as there are thousands of applications for every university.
  • All US Universities have online application facility with an application fees (around $100 or more) paid online only.
  • The documentation for admission is fairly detailed and varies with university.
  • It usually covers academic documents, financial documents recommendation letters, Statement of Purpose (SOP), online score reports of TOEFL, GRE and GMAT etc.
  • It usually takes 3 months for the university to process application. Some specific courses and specializations may take more time.
  • Once the offer letter is received, it is used to apply for the student visa processing.

Getting US Student Visa

  • Planning for higher education in a US college or university? You need to apply for F1 Student visa first. F! Student visa is the primary requirement to enter the US as a student.
  • To study in USA you need to file a F1 visa application at a US Embassy or Consulate.

Required documents for F1 Visa

  • Application Fee - There is a non-refundable visa application fee you need to deposit through bank.
  • Visa Application Form
  • A Valid Passport
  • Photos - Color photo (a particular size) taken within last 6 months
  • Financial documents showing you have sufficient support from your parents/ legal guardian to support your entire study (fees, travelling expenses and living expenses during your study time).
  • Documents showcasing you will return to your home country after the course. (For example, a job offer, a family business etc)
  • Your Academic certificates, and test scores, experience letter or achievements if any.

If your visa application approved, you may be required to pay a visa issuance fee. Digital fingerprint scans will be taken for records. Your passport will be taken so that you can get your visa and you will be informed when you can get it back, either by pick-up or in the post.


US Education Cost
The study cost depends on what degree you are pursuing- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD. The cost also varies according to the type of institutions i.e. public or private.

The Bachelor's degree tuition fee can range from $ 12000 to $ 55000 per year.

The Master's degree can range from $ 15000 to $ 40,000 per year.

Average Living Expenses $11500 to $20000 per year
